Tim Berners-Lee

Tim Berners-Lee is credited with inventing the World Wide Web. Berners-Lee began work on a hypertext GUI browser and editor in October 1990. One month later, he produced the first web server and web page. The first web server was nxoc01.cern.ch, later called info.cern.ch. The first web page was http://nxoc01.cern.ch/hypertext/www/TheProject.html.
