Jakob Nielsen is the guru of web page usability. Nielsen has a Ph.D. in user interface design, worked for IBM and Sun Microsystems, and correctly predicted in 1990 that hypertext was the future of user interface design. Nielsen believes the best websites take little time to download, present information in a succinct fashion, underline relevant links and contain fresh information.
